Sitting Bull- Sun Dance

Incident at Oglala is a 1992 documentary by Michael Apted, narrated by Robert Redford. The film documents the murder of two FBI agents, Coler and Williams, on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation in 1975, and the legal case surrounding the subsequent trials of Jimmy Eagle, Bob Robideau, Darrell Butler, and Leonard Peltier. Peltier was convicted of the murders, but many, including the International Indian Treaty Council, believe Peltier is innocent of the crimes. Apted was nominated for the Critics Award in 1992 for this film. Part 1 & 2

Paiute Native American shaman Wovoka and the Ghost Dance: Appearing during a time of desperation for the Native American Indian people. The Ghost Dance started when Paiute shaman Jack Wilson or Wovoka had a vision that if our people would dance and sing we Indians would live again. The Ghost Dance spread throughout the land. In Dec. 1890 the white military panicked and massacred innocent Lakota Indian people at Wound Knee while they danced. It is one of the worse incidents in United States history. Judy Trejo - Summit Lake (Tommo Agi) and Walker River (Agi) Paiute and Anita Collins - Shoshone and Walker River Paiute speak about Wovoka. Robbie Robertson sings "Ghost Dance".

Native American rock art was an important art form for the Great Basin Indian people like the Paiutes. Many shamans created them as power points with celestial and animal references. They are scattered all over the Great Basin and they were even found in Yosemite and Hetch Hetchy, which were once Paiute areas.

The Pharmacratic Inquisition -   Thousands of years ago, in the pre monarchic era, sacred plants and other entheogenic substances where politically correct and highly respected for their ability to bring forth the divine, Yahweh, God, The Great Spirit, etc., by the many cultures who used them. Weather changes over millenniums caused environmental changes that altered the available foods and plant sacraments available in the local vicinity. If a tribe lost its shamanic El-der (El - God), all of the tribe's knowledge of their plant sacraments as well as astronomical knowledge would be lost.
